Shoes Fall Back On The HeelsAlong with the fashion of comfortable but stylish clothes comes
comfortable shoes. Still with the slender heel of last season's stiletto,
shoes for fall have heels that are a manageable, medium height. All over the
runways lower heeled shoes and boots were being shown with the longer
length skirts. Walking is going to be a lot easier as long as you have
perfected your walk in a pencil skirt. The new shape has a fifties feel. It is longer in length in the toe, kind
of like a winkle picker with a modern look. The longer length helps to
elongate the legs, as the eye is taken from toe to knee, unlike
stilettos where the eye starts at the ankle. What's good about these elegant shoes is that you can wear them anywhere,
in the office, on the street, at a cocktail party. And you don't have to rush
to take them off when you get home. Colour will be added to the legs, not by colourful tights but, by the
shoes and boots themselves. Colours range from nude, pastels, and very
bright colours that remind you of your neighbour's new Honda. A new
developement in fabrics is an iridescent patent leather. Other fabrics
used are satin, tweeds, faille, and very supple, highly polished
leather. Matching handbags and shoes to your whole outfit gives a very ladylike appearance, and to be especially so, add a pair of gauntlet gloves to wear with the shorter length sleeve. Having a completely coordinating outfit is also a good trick for not so tall people to help give a taller appearance. Does this mean we have to throw away our high heels from last season?
Well, you may find yourself loving the lower heels (they are more
comfortable after all) but for those wild parties when you want to wear
your little tight dresses and look sexy, I think you can't beat a pair of
black patent with a four inch heel! Find more photos like this on Shane and Shawn Worldwide |
