Want to look good at work and at play? Then these are the new pieces you
will want, to revitalize your looks this Autumn
Unless you've been asleep the last few months you couldn't help but
realise that the word on everyone's lips is 'suit'. That's where you
should start, with a pant suit, in a nice rich autumny colour, a deep
burgundy or russett.
The pants and the jacket can be worn alone or
with other separates to form the base for your Autumn look.
To take the suit from basic to elegant try one of the new beaded and
embroidered tops. I have something that's between a scarf and a cape, that
I bought in Hong Kong a few years ago, embroidered with black bugle beads - I
shall be wearing it much more this season.
For a crisp and sexy look, wear your suit with a white shirt, opened
provacatively at the neck, and as jewellery is being favoured once more,
hang a chunky gold chain around your neck and wrist.
Swap the trousers for a short skirt in Donegal tweed or pinstripes, for the
evening. This season it's ok to wear a country fabric, like tweed, with
glamorous separates.
Ribbed knits add coziness for the cooler days, and a long ribbed cardigan
could be worn alone or over the shirt with the skirt on a weekend date, or
with the trousers for bargain hunting on the High Street - or taking the
Afghan for a walk.
To top it off, or should I say tail it off, a pair of suede boots for the
chillier days, or a strappy sandal to dance those nights away.
