Agnes B
1941- Born Agnès Troublé in Paris, France. Agnès B joined Elle magazine as a junior editor at the age of seventeen. Two years later she moved to Dorothee Bis as a designer but left in 1964 to work freelance. She opened her own store in 1975 in Paris, where her affordable, relaxed, wearable clothes catered to a wide age group. Many of her early designs were adopted from French workers uniforms. She specilized in separates, notably a snap-button cardigan. Much of the charm of her clothes lies in the fact that they have a worn-in look.
