Bill Amberg

(Born 1962) Born in Northampton - the centre of Britain's leather trade - and worked with leather as a child. Apprenticed to a cobbler and saddle-maker. In 1982 launched design consultancy business in London and quickly enjoyed commissions from top international fashion designers. Opened shop to retail own-label goods in 1996. Creates stylish modern bags which combine the finest leather craftsmanship with a minimalist aesthetic.
