empire, which also embraces Byblos and Complice. Just as ready-to-wear was
changing the face of the fashion world, Genny successfully restructured
and created an archetypal Italian style, based on a tailored look. It was an
immediate success. By 1980 Genny's image had been reinforced through the genius of designer Gianni Versace, who retained links with the company after setting up his own label. |
