Elizabeth Emanuel

(Born 1953) David Emanuel (Born 1952) Trained at Harrow School of Art then London's Royal College of Art 1975-77. Launched own label 1977 introducing haute couture in 1979. Split up in the early 1990s and now work separately. Their clothes epitomized the early 1980s vogue for romantic historic revival styles. Most famous design was Princess Diana's wedding dress. Co-authors of Style for all Seasons. (London: Michael Joseph 1983).
