Gianfranco Ferre

Gianfranco Ferre's rigorous training in design and garment construction made him sensitive to line and proportion and he merges cut and colour in clothes which flatter the wearer. His collections range from casual wear to haute couture, encompassing sophisticated separates and suits, as well as day and evening dresses, knitwear, swimwear and outerwear.

Increasingly, Ferre is moving towards comfort expressed through wholesome, traditional forms taken from an urban setting, such as sports, and away from the current escapism, exoticism and the trend for nostalgia which he sees as 'pointless references'.
