Handschin and Ronus

Handschin and Ronus founded the Swiss lingerie company, Hanro in 1884. It is a leading undergarment designer in Switzerland with its exports to European countries, the US and Japan accounting for approximately 80 percent of its business. Hanro's international success is based on it's philosophy of uncompromising dedication to delivering outstanding lingerie to it's customers. This is evident in every aspect of the creation process: from design to manufacturing. To ensure high quality standards, Hanro manufactures two-thirds of the fabric and accessories using the best natural fibres: pure Egyptian Longstaple cotton; pure Australian Merino wool; natural silk; wool/silk mixtures and cotton/lycra mixtures.

Throughout the years Hanro has seen market trends change from luxury knitted underwear to outerwear and back to underwear. Today, Hanro lines consist of 'Ladies and Gentleman's underwear and nightwear which includes a Classic range and a seasonal Trend collection.
