Janet Reger

Known as Britain's premier lingerie designer, Janet Reger is best known for her luxurious underwear. She particularly emphasises creations in satin, lace, and silk. Satin nightdresses, waspies, and silk pyjamas most typify her work.

She was trained in England at the Leicester College of Art and Technology, and started in business as a freelance designer of beachwear. Since then she has become famous for her exquisite underwear which manages to combine sexiness with class.

Following a sell-out to Berlei in 1983, Janet Reger temporarily disappeared from the world stage. In 1986 she bought back her company and is currently enjoying a resurgence of interest.
