Jaques Leonard

The House of Leonard opened its doors in 1958, with Jaques Leonard as its president and Daniel Triboullard as its brilliant designer. Triboullard first pioneered print knits and then printed silk jersey. which led to the Leonard couture house being set up in 1970. Leonard expanded rapidly into Japan and the Japanese were impressed by the beautiful fabric designs that Triboullard was asked to design kimonos - a rare honour for a Westerner.

Today the Prince of Prints is president as well as designer of Leonard.
