Michael Cromer

The year 1976 was a turning point for Michael Cromer, founder of MCM. After a brush with an arrogant salesman in an exclusive luggage shop in Paris, the film actor switched careers and started designing. He turned out to have a flair for producing both innovative fabrics and designs for bags. But this was not enough for Cromer's creative energies, so he expanded into other areas, including ready-to-wear.
