Michael Donellan

Born in Ireland. Spent several years with Lachasse before opening own couture house in 1953. He was then heralded as one of the most stimulating designers working in London. Also known as Michael of Carlos Place. Renowned for stylish tailoring and strong uncluttered design statements. Was recorded by Vogue as having been called the Balenciaga of London.
