
Pauline Trigère
1912-. Born in Paris, France. Trigère knew how to operate a sewing machine by teh age of ten and assisted her dressmaker mother. Her father was a tailor. After leaving school, she was employed as a trainee cutter at Martial et Armand in the Place Vendôme, Paris. She also worked as a freelance designer before moving in 1937 to New York, where she became assistant designer to Travis Banton.
