 Born in Belgrade. A Serb from the former Yugoslavia, Roksanda Ilincic settled in London and, for five years, worked away at the margins of the fashion scene.Graduating from the Central St Martins MA in 2000 Famed for her Balenciaga-influenced sculptural dresses, Ilincic (a former architecture student), loves grown-up glamour and 1950's couture style and indulges her whimsical side with gigantic bows, exaggerated volume and raw edges that drip golden threads. |
She began her own label in 2002, attracting a loyal customer base which includes Claudia Schiffer, Liberty Ross and Bjork.
