Roland Klein

(Born 1938) Born in France. Trained 1955-57 at the Chambre Syndicale school Paris. 1960-62 worked at Christian Dior then worked as Karl Lagerield's assistant at Patou. Moved to London 1965 to become designer for Marcel Fenez, a top-level ready-to-wear house where he subsequently put his name on the label. Launched own line in 1973. Famous for eveningwear.
