We've had designer jeans and designer handbags, even designer pantyhose.
Where next are we going to wear their signatures?
The affluent Americans have always loved wearing and using designer
goods.
About the only thing designers haven't thought of putting their name to is
our lingerie. Until now.
I guess Calvin Klein started it all, with his logo on knicker elastic,
which we so proudly wore outside of our designer jeans waistbands. Now,
Randolph Duke of Halston,
Norma Kamali,
Ralph Lauren
and Nicole Miller,
have taken his lead.
These new under-garments come in cozy cashmere, sensible cotton, sensuous
silk, and jersey, They can be sporty, seductive and - more importantly -
comfortable. No skinny panties that our bottoms fall out of, no binding
bras that push us up and out, just beautiful clothing with a beautiful fit.
