ALL THAT

GLITTERS...

Christmas is the perfect time to really dress-up to the nines and this year it's practically impossible not to glitter and shine. Designers had a ball with glitter in their fall collections, using it on everything from camisoles, knitwear and bags. Everything glitters from your fluttering eyelids down to your delicate toes.

With so many glittery items to choose from, you could be in danger of going over the top. How to shine but not dazzle? Choose one piece that gleams and add a more sober piece. Jazz up a suit with a sparkly top, brighten up a black dress with a lurex bag.

Glitter is not just an evening option any more; it has another life from nine till five.

You don't want to look like you're heading for the disco while you sit at your desk, so just add a small touch of glitter. Wake up your work wardrobe, wear a satiny straight skirt with a basic black turtleneck, dark tights and some high heeled shoes.

Shining at your work is simple with a lurex ribbed v-neck sweater or a tweed skirt shot with gold thread.

To go from day to night, start with a pantsuit, plain or with a subtle hint of glitter, and add some seriousness with a turtleneck.

Lunch with a client? Wear a wool suit but keep it buttoned up if you choose to wear a tube top underneath.

To help the transition from day to night, add some more glittery touches choose one or more of: glitter eyeshadow (red is especially eyecatching), nail varnish, hair mascara, a small glossy bag or a golden bracelet.
