
Worth (London) Ltd.Successor to the Paris couture house, founded by British-born Charles Frederick Worth in 1858.(Fashion design is generally considered to have started in the 19th century with Charles Frederick Worth who was the first person to sew his label into the garments he created.) The name was purchased by Sydney Massin in the early postwar period, and Worth London Ltd. Operated from 50 Grosvenor Street until 1967.
