Fashion Magazines
A couple of magazines I recently got hold of were MODE and Fashion Almanac. I
liked both these magazines enough to pass on my thoughts about them.
I liked MODE because for one thing it addresses itself to an audience with
normal and plus sized bodies, rather than just anorexic stick insects. This
means it contains much material of practical as well as academic value. I
must admit it wasn't until I got home and started reading it that I
realised that its targeted audience were sizes 12 - 16 (American). Other
similarly targeted magazines in the past, have always seemed apologetic; this magazine
has an attitude and doesn't have anything to apologise about.
Fashion Almanac has tons of information on lots of fashion-related topics.
The articles are exactly what one hopes to find when opening up a magazine.
So many other magazines seduce you with their cover pages, only to
disappoint you inside.
One of my favourite magazines for a long time has
been W. So pay particular attention to the details of W
but we aren't going to forget a good few others.
