MENSWEAR
For Autumn
Men's Mix and Match

Time to dig out your old favourite sweaters again. Fall is an
interesting season with its mix of fabrics - gaberdine, corduroy, wool and
cashmere. This season's jackets and trousers come in herringbone,
windowpane checks and pinstripes of brown, citrus, deep maroon, navy and
olive green.
Dress to the nines in a two or three-button, dark
suit. Suits this year come in easy to care for fabrics such as wool, jersey
and acrylic blends.
Let me suggest a few ideas:
With a dark wool suit, wear a colourful silk tie, a plain white shirt with
french cuffs, accessorize with some interesting cufflinks.
For the serious workaholic; some power dressing: A six-button double
breasted suit, in a charcoal pinstripe of course, a classic white shirt and
an understated maroon tie.

Casual days allow you to show some personality. You can relax the look by
wearing a cashmere turtleneck instead of a shirt, and chelsea boots. Add a pair
of dark glasses for a hep-cat look.
Customize your look with an eye catching tie-clip or pin. Add some colour
with a pocket square.
If suits are not for you, and you can dress down, here are another few
suggestions:
Plain single breasted jacket, flat front trousers, high v-neck sweater,
accessorize with a chunky watch.
Break with convention and wear a corduroy single breasted jacket with
pinstripe trousers, and turtleneck.
Classic pieces will go with other clothes in your wardrobe. The classic look
at school might be a suede jacket, a wool v-neck sweater, flat-front
cotton-blend trousers and zip-up boots. And fellas, don't throw a suede
garment down on a chair, hang it up on on a hanger, it will keep its shape
better.
Another style for school might be a look inspired by the success of
Tiger Woods. A knitted vest, in argyle or stripes over a white polo shirt,
with slimmed down trousers. Accessories to go with this look: a cap,
stainless steel watch, and golfing gloves.

For the weekend, grab a few easy pieces and head for the hills.
Wear a windowpane wool jacket over a navy turtleneck and cargo pants,
and on your feet navy sneakers.
Other looks for leisure time might be; an overcoat, jeans, a polo shirt
worn over a white tee. Or a camel hair sweater over a flannel shirt.
There are lots of ways to go with your wardrobe: streetwise, hip-hop,
preppy, right through to downright corporate. Why be so predictable? Find
the chameleon in you, try a few looks and don't be afraid to mix them up.
