Inspiration for the first Kaminski hat came out of the colours and textures of the Australian bushland. Helen Kaminski, then an artist living in rural Australia, created this hat from natural raphia fibre, with an instinctive eye for a hat that blended with the rugged environment. Created originally as protection from the strong inland sun it was soon being seen on the many beaches of Australia.
Since those early days, Kaminski hats have been exhibited and sold
worldwide. The unique nature of Kaminski designs has inspired men and
women to wear her hats with originality and flair. Helen Kaminski uses
expertise in Australia and Madagascar and produces her hats to a consistent
high standard.
