Minis in lace. Minis in leather and suede. The must-haves that go with these are leggings or sleek boots.
In the Sixties, an inexorable revolution took place during which
hemlines were raised - raising a few eyebrows in the process. By the
middle of the Sixties, hemlines were as high as four inches above the knee,
despite the fact that the runways were advocating hemlines at the knee.
Following that, skirts slowly became even shorter, becoming the mini, then
for the more daring (and those who had the legs) the micro mini.
It was almost as if women had been raising their hemlines inch-by-inch,
decade-by-decade and suddenly one day someone looked down and saw knees.
A flirty number - lace skirt worn with sheer button front shirt. |
